Jileke Love
I based a character from a book I illustrated: "Everything Pink, I Think" on Imke. She was so happy to be the main character, and she gave me a gift of a pink frame which she decorated.
I made a cross stitch to go with the frame of the little flying creature, the robin, some sea-stars, and the flower, who are all in this book too.

Grizzle
...Grizzle...
Our
first sighting of the creature was on the stone wall
behind our house. It looked like a slinking diseased ghost.

very shy apparition … the white underfur, almost minklike,
appeared from a distance to be some sort of severe mange.

you saw him, it would be for an instant .. the second he
knew you could see him …. gone .. slunk off.
